““Go therefore and make disciples of all the
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit, “teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you;
and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” Matt 28:19, 20,

Just before Christmas, I traveled back to Ft. Portal to
celebrate their success and to wrap up the ministry until next year. In my absence, Susan and Margie faithfully continued
the ministry. They did an awesome job training
and equipping the young women not only through the practical skill of knitting,
but more importantly by helping them to grow in their relationship with the
Lord.
After being away for some time, I better understand Paul’s heart when he longed to see and to be with his spiritual children in Thessalonica. “For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?” 1 Thess 2:19. These young women are my hope, joy and crown. My glory is in these young women whose lives have been changed by God. My highest reward and greatest joy is for these young women who have come to believe in Christ and are growing in Him.
The final week of the ministry was crowned with Mary, Zaituni, Florence and Margie getting baptized! We celebrated their commitment and obedience to the Lord by choosing to be baptized as well as all of their hard work and dedication over the last three months by sharing a meal together at a local pizzeria.

Happy Birthday Zaituni! |
Happy Birthday Margie! |
Happy Birthday Florence! |
Please join me in prayer for these young women. I, like Paul, keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give them the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that they may know him better, that the eyes of their heart may be enlightened in order that they may know the hope to which he has called them, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. (cf: Eph 1:17-19a)
Additional Prayer Requests:
- That the ladies would use and freely share what they have learned to reach others for Christ and provide income for their families
- That the ladies would continue to have a hunger and thirst for the Word and things of God
- That the ladies would bear abundant fruit that is pleasing and glories our Father in heaven
- For wisdom and direction of the Sewing Seeds ministry in Ft. Portal
- That our words and our lives would reflect Jesus fully
In His Grip,
Luan
